Please: uninstall any previous version of ColorLab before running the 32-bit .msi file. It's now set up to automatically upgrade (and should do so from rc1) but better to be safe.
64-bit notes:
- Tested by me only with Vegas Pro 9 on Windows 7.
- The x86 and x64 versions should be able to live side-by-side on your system.
Release highlights:
- Support for 64-bit Vegas
- Disabled effect blending. Will be removed entirely in v1.1.
- Fixed ColorLab failing on Intel GPU
- Fixed System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException
- Fixed out of range levels slider
- Fixed shutdown and cleanup when closing Vegas.
- New installer package using WiX, hopefully better. (Improved Vista/W7 support too.)
I know one or two reported bugs didn't go into this one, if so, please report your problem by going here. Failing that, you can always e-mail me (see readme) or comment here on the blog.
Hope I can lock down v1.0 soon, there is so much nice stuff in v1.1 around the corner. :)
Edit: You can find the proper RC2 readme file in the Downloads section. I accidentally bundled an old PDF in the installers.

Thanks! I've installed it and used it in a small test. So far so good! I'll let you know if I run into any bugs. Keep it up!
Sebastien: Great. :) May I ask what operating system (and service packs) and which version of Vegas you are using?
Vista x64 Ultimate, running Vegas Pro 8.0 and 8.1. No problem switching between the 32 and 64 bit versions of Vegas.
Blooming marvellous!
Thanks for the great plugin. Looking forward to what's around the corner.
I have been using this program for a while, thank you, it is really good. Are there updates forthcoming?
I am using this program with 64 bit Windows 7, using both 32 and 64 bit Vegas and it works great so far.
Thanks for this! Just tried it out, and works like dream - nice and precise :-)
Thanks. No progress (apart from 1.1 being halfway done) as supporting my family comes first and the donations for ColorLab aren't enough to warrant spending time on it right now. Still, it's not abandoned (yet).
Carl, thank you so much for this VERY helpful plugin. I have been using it for three months now without a single glitch (Vegas Pro 9/64 on Win7/64, Core i7 860@4x4 GHz, 8 GB RAM). This plugin works more stabil and precise than most commercial plugins I have tested (and as a journalist, I have tested quite a few...).
I'll donate some bucks in a second and please, Vegas-users out there:
SUPPORT THIS DEVELOPMENT!!
IMO Carl deserves every cent, since his plug offers great performance (GPU)/options (advanced grading) for every serious cutter.
Thanks for the update Carl, sorry it has been a while since I replied, I'm glad to hear it is not abandoned. I hope to see advancement on the project, but I hear you. Family always comes first.
Lets support this guy! Thanks very much. Sorry im a poor student "movie maker" when i win some money i donate to you...
Thanks from Brazil
For what its worth, I've noticed that if you check the GLOW feature within the Blur tab, and then leave the filter (by either adjusting another filter in the chain or simply closing out) AND then return to tweak that same Colorlab filter, the previously enabled GLOW feature becomes unchecked.
Any possible i can help to tranlate to Chinese?
Carl, This plugin is fantastic I use it all the time. Please please make a version of it for After Effects! You will make money I assure you
