AAV ColorLab is a free plugin that gives you hardware accelerated effects for Vegas and Movie Studio. It uses the graphics card to offload the CPU, which can lead to massively faster rendering times and smoother previews!

Cheat sheet

I made a simple cheat sheet for the basic operation of ColorLab, as some users seem confused about the user interface.

From The Aav dev blg
Click the picture, then select Download / Download photo at the top left to save a full sized version.

I will produce more documentation, but also improve the usability of the interface in upcoming versions.

Thanks a bunch! By the way, do you know if your plug-in will still work with the new Vegas 9 64 bit version?

Thanks for your work!

I will try to make it work, however Sony still hasn't released a new video plugin SDK.

Btw. Am I right in that the Vegas 9 web page says it exists in a 32-bit version too?

Yes, I believe it will be available both in 32 and 64 bit.

But wouldn't the SDK from 8.1 which is the 64 bit version be already available?

You'd think so, but they haven't released a new plugin SDK in ages. I think the last one was some time after they bought Vegas from Sonic Foundry.

I know there's also a scripting SDK but that's a different beast. (although I'm thinking of some other features for ColorLab using this)

Well, you would know better than me. Perhaps that's why there isn't that many plug-in available for Vegas...
